Introducing ECE Reporter

Last updated January 14, 2021

Over the past year, The Office of Early Childhood’s technology team has been working on improving data collection and we are excited to announce the launch of our new tool, ECE Reporter!

Meet ECE Reporter

The Office of Early Childhood’s ECE Reporter is an easy and secure way for you to submit state-funded child enrollment data! ECE Reporter will be used to collect child enrollment data for the July 1 to December 31, 2020 time period and beyond. Once data for the initial time period is submitted, we will be in contact with more information regarding submission of data from January 1, 2021 forward. Programs will then use ECE Reporter on a continuous, at least monthly basis, to keep their child enrollment data up to date.

ECE Reporter meets three very important goals:

1. Easier data entry for providers, 2. Unified data across funding streams, 3. Useful and accessible data

What you need to know

  • ECE Reporter is officially live and ready to accept data submissions as of January 2021!
  • Child enrollment data for the period between July 1 through December 31, 2020 can be submitted in ECE Reporter until March 5, 2021.
  • ECE Reporter does not eliminate the need for monthly reports to be submitted for Child Day Care, School Readiness, Smart Start, and State Head Start.
  • We are working towards a comprehensive one stop shop for data collection and monthly reporting within ECE Reporter.
