New COVID-19 guidance for child care providers

Today the Governor’s Office announced Launching into Healthy Learning, an initiative to support healthy and safe participation in school, child care and camps. These materials explain 3 strategies that are part of this plan — vaccination, testing, and Test-Mask-Go.

This new guidance replaces OEC’s Guide, Practices to Protect Against the Spread of COVID-19. 

OEC will also provide additional information to licensed child care providers and those camps that operate during the school year. We are currently working to develop a system to distribute the self-test kits and will provide that information when the details are finalized.

You do not need to take any action at this time. Please wait for more information from OEC.  Additionally, every family is eligible to receive fee test kits by visiting https://www.covid.gov/tests.
