Background Check Processing Fee REDUCED!
Effective October 1, 2016, the OEC’s background check processing fee is being reduced to $12.00 per person ($10.75 per person for volunteers).
Payments may be made by check or money order, payable to Treasurer, State of Connecticut. Multiple background checks may be paid for separately or together (for example, $48.00 for 4 background checks). Background check documents received after September 30, 2016 and not accompanied by a payment in the correct amount will be returned; incorrect or missing payments or documents will delay background check completion.
