What you need to do
Since the new regulations are in effect, you need to take steps to comply with them now.
- Read the regulations carefully with your staff so you all understand the changes
- Notify your program’s health and education consultants about the revised regulations
- Revise your policies and procedures as needed
- Consider documenting changes you make to your program and keeping these records on file, so OEC staff can review during inspections
- Check our licensing pages for updates, as we’ll be sharing more information highlighting key regulation changes
What happens if a program isn’t following the new regulations?
OEC will check to make sure programs are following the new regulations during inspections. If we find a program isn’t complying, our response will depend on:
- How long it’s been since the new regulations have taken effect
- The nature of the specific requirements
- The efforts the provider took to meet the new regulations
