New CT ELDS and CT DOTS Resources

Last updated November 18, 2020

OEC has two new resources for families and early education professionals available in both English and Spanish!

The Connecticut Early Learning and Development Standards (CT ELDS) Learning at Home Strategies provide simple and age-appropriate ways to support children’s learning. These documents are available for nine age ranges and include ideas across all areas of early childhood development. Families can download these documents and find ways to support learning while they go about their daily routine. Providers can share these documents with families or share individual ideas as they partner to support children’s learning and development.

The Connecticut Documentation and Observation for Teaching System (CT DOTS) Family Input Pages are a great way for providers using CT DOTS to gather family input about children’s learning and development. These short questionnaires are available for each age range and domain in CT DOTS. They are designed to be used along with other forms of communication about children’s learning and development.

We’ll post additional news updates about professional learning opportunities related to the CT ELDS, CT DOTS, and partnering with families.
