OEC will continue to pay for background checks another 12 months

OEC announced today that the $88.25 processing fee for required fingerprint-supported background checks will continue to be covered using federal relief funds.  The extension applies to all background checks submitted on or before April 1, 2022.  Child care providers must complete a comprehensive background check at least every five years and maintain evidence of submission on site.  To complete required forms online and schedule a digital fingerprint appointment with 211 Child Care, go to https://resources.211childcare.org/backgroundcheck/.
